Digital Research Technical Professionals (dRTPs) Leadership Programme

Advance HE will deliver a cohort-based leadership development programme for participants within the dRTP community, designed to build leadership capability, confidence and networks across research and digital contexts.

The programme adapts our established Research Leadership Development Programme and will be tailored to the specific context, challenges and opportunities of participants. The programme will be delivered through a blended (hybrid) model, combining in-person delivery through an initial full-day workshop to establish the cohort, build relationships and support informal networking; online (synchronous) workshops through a series of interactive sessions on key leadership themes; and asynchronous learning, including self-directed activities, reflective exercises and supporting resources to consolidate and apply learning in practice.

The programme is designed for research and professional staff working within dRTP environments, with emerging, developing or more established stages of leadership responsibility, including individuals transitioning from specialist/technical roles into positions requiring leadership, coordination and influence.
