Digital PRISMs Digital Research Conference

The UK community of Professional Research Investment and Strategy Managers ( PRISM Network ) now manages over £7bn of UK research investments. PRISMs are experiencing a skills gap in navigating increasingly complex organisational digital systems, tools and governance requirements.

This project addresses this unmet need by supporting the established PRISM Network (1,250+ members) to deliver a one-day conference focusing on “digital PRISMs, digital research”. The conference will upskill PRISMs to use digital tools and frameworks more effectively in their existing research projects across any discipline, and to manage research projects with a strong digital research component more skilfully

This will be the Network’s 4th in-person conference and the first with a digital theme. The conference is designed to amplify the work of PRISMs who are already local best practice leaders, especially those working in digital research infrastructure.

Outputs include shared resources, recorded content, and a community-driven digital training agenda. Benefits are improved management of digital aspects of research investments; upskilled PRISMs; strengthening of the national network of PRISMs; identification of emerging digital PRISM leaders locally and nationally; and specialist input to the Research Professional Futures project developing PRISM career pathways across the UK research ecosystem.
